According the poll results that took place among employers and alumni of different universities in Ukraine Kyiv National Economics University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) is considered to be one of the leaders in economic education in Ukraine. For instance, for over two decades KNEU takes first places in the ranking of quality of Economic education, that consists of several parts as intellectual potential and international assessment. The development of education in the field of Logistics in Kyiv National Economics University named after Vadym Hetman.
The Logistics Certification Program was set by the Marketing department in 2015. The Certification Program consists of 6 subjects and being taught to students of Marketing, International Economics and Economics of Entrepreneurship Activity majors. A variety of Departments are involved into program what allows to reach interdisciplinary effect. Representatives of such international companies as Nestle, Loreal, Raben help to prepare studying material and to deliver the lectures.
In 2016 Marketing Department of Kyiv National Economics University has set the new major “Commercial activity and Logistics”. Nowadays, there are first students being studied the course. The meetings with logistic professionals and academic tours to the logistics centers are arranged for students of the program. Up to 2019 it is planned to set the Master program in Logistics in cooperation with GUMLog participants. The precursor for launching the new major was a great demand for logistic specialists among leading national and foreign companies. KNEU is actively cooperating with such international companies as Nestle, Loreal, Raben and working on developing of education in logistic area. Representatives of these corporations are taking an active part in the academic process in KNEU.
The history of cooperation with University of Bremen.
The cooperation of Kiev National Economic University and the German side lasts for more than 10 years. At the beginning the cooperation took place on a personal level between Professor Irina Reshetnikova (Department of Marketing, KNEU) and Professor Axel Sell (University of Bremen, Institute for World Economics and International Management). Later on in 2008 the cooperation activities were continued with Professor Hans-Dietrich Haasis. In 2009, by initiation of Professor Hans-Dietrich Haasis, the first cooperation agreement was signed, which allowed to organise one semester training of students from KNEU at the University of Bremen. Throughout this time, more than 10 students has been allowed to study in University of Bremen for one semester. Since 2015 the cooperation between two universities was strengthen through the engagement of Dr. Irina Dovbischuk, who initiated the Fact Finding Mission trip to a range of Ukrainian universities and coordinated the GUMLog proposal preparation in 2015.
