During the working meeting in Kiev and Uman a series of events took place.
Round table «Development of Dual education in logistics specialists’ educational system»
- Ukrainian agrarian confederation,
- Association of Hotel Unions and Hotels of Ukrainian Cities and

have discussed prospects of development of dual education in Ukraine. All participants have unique experience in different fields (development of certification programs, internship programs, business games, business-university cooperation program, virtual business games) that could be useful for development of dual education system in Ukraine
Series of lectures for students of KNEU from Professor Hans-Dietrich Haasis
Students of Certification Program in the field of Logistics (Major Specialization: Marketing, Economics of Enterprise, International Economics) had an opportunity to be acquainted with advanced logistics experience. During two lecture days Professor Hans-Dietrich Haasis revealed the following topics:

«Digital and transparent: German-Ukrainian food supply chain»
A round table “Digital and Transparent: The German-Ukrainian Food Supply System” took place on 23.05.2019 at the Uman National Horticultural University. The purpose of this event was to discuss problems of marketing and logistics of agricultural products.
The participants of the round table were:
Agrarian business was represented by: the head of agrarian company «Bazis» Volodymyr Osadchy, Director of agrarian company “Mayak Agro” Mikhail Bogach, Chief Technologist of the seed plant «LNZ Group» Ruslan Dovgun and Head of Planning and Economic Department of Uman Greenhouse Plant Ruslan Gomenyuk.
Representative from Uman district state administration was the head of the department for agro-industrial development Valentina Movchanyuk.
During the discussion the main problems of food supply and problems arising in the process of organizing the sale of agrarian products have arisen:
- the lack of digital support for agricultural goods and the presence of a significant number of intermediaries in the chain from producer to consumer. According to entrepreneurs, the solution to this problem is possible through the establishment of service cooperatives for the provision of logistics services and digiitalization.
- need for highly skilled sales and logistics specialists in the labor market and the need to increase the level of knowledge of specialists in this field. Achievement of this result is possible only in close cooperation between agrarian producers and educational institutions.
International students conference: «Logistics as an instrument for increasing competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises
In the framework of the project “German-Ukrainian Master’s Program in Logistics” on May 24, the 2nd round of the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific student’s logistics works was held at the UNUH.
The purpose of the competition is to exchange knowledge and establish international relations in the field of logistics. The uniqueness of the contest was also added by the fact that the presentations, reports and discussions took place exclusively in English.
The competition was attended by 42 papaers submitted by students from various University of Ukraine. Papers were evaluated by a qualified commission consisting of Professor Dr. Hans-Dietrich Haasis (University of Bremen, Germany), Professor Irina Dombishuk (International University of Applied Sciences, Bad Honnef, Bremen, Germany), Professor Oleksndr Dyma (KNEU, Ukraine) and Professor, Doctor of Economics Oleksandr Shkolny (UNUH, Ukraine).
To participate in the second round of the competition were recommended papers of 12 students, whose research was unique, high scientific level and non-standard look at solving the problems of logistics as a tool for increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises.
The final conference was held on the basis of the management department of the UNUH. Among the invited guests were students and their scientific advisers from Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Kyiv National Trade and Economic University, Odessa National Polytechnic University, Khmelnytsky National University, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Vinnytsia Trade and Economic Institute, National University of Shipbuilding . Admiral Makarov, Kharkiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Uman National University of Horticulture. Participants’ speeches in the 2nd round and discussion of their scientific issues were impressed by the high level of practical or conceptual research that met the set requirements.
Summing up, Professor Dr. Hans-Dietrich Haasis shared his impressions of the works presented and gave some tips to participants how to effectively present their performance.
The participants had only positive impressions from the competition. After all, not only the exchange of interdisciplinary knowledge took place, but also friendly relations between domestic and German participants were formed, prospects for future cooperation were determined.
